There are not enough worshipers to sustain the old gods any longer. So they have taken matters into their own hands. Hecate, Fenrir, and Oberon send Loki to find three vessels for them to make hybrids to build their armies. A trio of unsuspecting young women have no idea they're unique and have been chosen.
This is a prequel to a paranormal series, the Blood of Ancient Gods. There are a lot of superpowers in play. I do like the mix of gods from various mythologies and seeing some of my favorites is fun. Though with the short length of the book, not enough time is given to any of them nor the three young women who are the gods' chosen. It's an intriguing setup for the series, and I'm curious as to what comes next.
Loved it as always! Never disappointed when I read anything by Shakuita Johnson. Can't wait to see what else she has brewing!
This is a quick read but I love the story. I hope to see more soon following the gods. Keep up the great writing Shakuita. I will be following your writing from now on!

I was completely taken in with the characters and the storyline.
There is not really enough to make an in-depth review but it definitely leaves you wanting more!
OMG is it AMAZING!! I am loving Shakuita Johnson's spin on classic mythological tales. She definitely has included her trademark twist on this story!!
This is clearly the beginning of a series that is going to be EPIC!!! Shakuita has a way of ending a book right at a point where you are dying to know what happens next ;-) This book is no different. This book ends in a major cliffhanger that had me screaming at my reading device to find out what happens next.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a great read. I am looking forward to the next book to see where Shakuita takes this series. Extremely well done!!
